Church Camp 2019

Updated: Aug 4, 2019

Camp 2019

Agape Methodist Church holds her Church Camp once every two years. The latest took place this June, and it was highly anticipated! It was held from the 13th-16th of June, themed ‘Salt of the Earth and Light of the World”, in line with our church theme for 2019. We had fun bonding with our other brothers and sisters in Christ from the other congregations over the various activities and meal times. We also had a great time getting to know one another through the icebreakers that had been planned by our youths!

Tell me more about yourself!

Icebreaks, for all ages!

On the first evening and second day we had an insightful time hearing from our camp speaker, Mr Jason Wong, CEO of Focus on the Family Singapore. Afterwards, we split into our different groups for discussions where we got to share about what we had learnt from the sessions.

On the third day, we participated in an arts and crafts session. At the different stations we got to make different things, such as watercolour bookmarks, chocolate bouquets and more!

"Look what I made!"

In the evening, we had a special event that was planned for us - a sit-down dinner and a game show that was organised by Uncle Chee Hoe and his wife, Auntie Hannah! Everyone had a great time laughing at the performances and cracking their brains as they tried guessing the right answer to the questions!

As Father’s Day was coming, the camp committee had also planned a special activity where the youths and children had to draw their faces of their father! Their father had to guess which drawing was their kids'!

Find your face... quick!

On the final day, we heard testimonies from church members of how God had spoken to them during the camp. We ended with a time of worship and holy communion, Of course, we went shopping before heading back to Singapore! It was truly a fun, enjoyable and insightful Camp. I cannot wait for the next camp!
