DG Feature: Our 1st Batch of Transition DG Graduates!

Change is often not easy, and so it is with the uncertainty that youths face when they eventually have to ‘graduate’ from youth ministry. Youths (young adults to be more accurate) in this phase move on to serve the country in enlisting for NS, start their university education or work, and face the other many challenges that come their way.

Youths from Transition DG

Transition DG (Disciple Group) was started a few years ago, to help smoothen and facilitate the transition for young adults leaving AYM to join the English DSGs and English Services proper, and to provide a safe community for them to share, encourage and pray for one another - to support one another practically as well as spiritually. Young adults in Transition DG, typically aged 19-22, have a few years to be a part of this group, while still formally being a part of AYM, where they can start to explore the ‘world beyond YM’. Jeremiah, Agape’s Youth Ministry Staff, leads Transition DG. DG is held twice a month at Jeremiah’s house, on Saturday afternoons.

There's always time for fellowship and food!

It is with much joy and celebration that we officially announce the graduation of current (the first-ever batch!) Transition DG members. Having been part of the DG for a few years, they will be transiting to the English DSG system under the leadership of Mr Paul Ting. They will also be fully incorporated into the English Service, starting to serve there as well. This transition happens in August 2018, and we pray they will keep their bonds of friendship strong, and continue to grow to be the persons God wants them to be.
